Q1. What is Interpay?

Interpay Africa ( “Interpay Africa,” “we,” or “us“ ) knows that you care how Personal Information about you is collected, used, shared and stored. “Personal Information” means information which personally identifies you. “Affiliate”, means a company which we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us.
We are committed to protecting our customer's Personal Information. This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Information we collect about you when you use our Interpay Africa platform (the “Service“); whom we share it with; and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of Personal Information.
This Privacy Policy should be read along with our Terms of Use posted on our website (“Agreement“) and all other operating rules, policies and procedures and additional terms and conditions published on our Website(all of which are incorporated by reference) which governs your use of our Website and Service. Capitalized terms, if not defined in this Privacy Policy, are defined in the Agreement.
Interpay Africa complies with the data protection frameworks as set forth by the Ghanaian Data Protection Commission regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data. Interpay Africa adheres to the industry best practices and is committed to providing its users with sufficient notice, choice, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement of data protection principles and standards.

Personal Information We Collect or You May Provide

You provide us with the following Personal Information when you register to be a wallet holder:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address and telephone number
  • Your bank account information
  • Your date of birth
  • Your location
If you join as an entity, you will provide us with the following Information in addition to the Personal Information you provide when you register to be an Interpay merchant:
  • Your registered business name and address
  • Your Tax ID and company registration number
  • Your contact information such as telephone number and email address
  • Your bank account information
  • Your logo
We may obtain address information about you from third party sources, for fraud prevention or for legal compliance.
We may collect Personal Information from you as a result of your email communications with us or your public media posts which we may retain along with our responses. Any Personal Information you publicly post online is without any expectation of privacy or confidentiality.
We may also sometimes collect and disclose information about how users use our Website,for example,by tracking unique views received by pages of the Website or the domains from which users originate.This information is not personally identifiable. We may also use “cookies” to track returning users to our Website. A cookie is a piece of software that a Web server can store on the user's PCs and use to identify the users should they visit the Website again. Information collected may be associated with non-public personal information users provide us through our Website.

Information we share with service providers or joint marketers
